Well it's a new year and 2010 means a few new changes for us. . . with Nate starting a new job next week. . . and my parents moving to San Diego. . . and me starting my long list of New Year's Resolutions. (one of which was going to bed early. oops.)We brought in the New Year with style again by popping balloons filled with gum balls, money, and "fortunes". Wearing crazy glasses. And guzzling sparkling grape juice. Then LONG after the kids went to bed, Nate and I pried our tired eyes open to watch the ball drop on TV. We're such party animals.

In other "new"s for the New Year. . .
Eliza is now 3 months old and no longer sleeps with us.
Here is her new-cute-pink-room.
The toys no longer sleep with us either now that they are all newly organized. (thanks to some new IKEA shelves).
Nate got a new car (finally) after driving my old college car into the ground and commuting by bus for the past year. We now have matching "his and hers" white Hondas. Cute huh.
And since caveman manners have become the norm around here, we are turning the table (no pun intended) this year with a few new rules. Like this.
seems easy enough right? Then you've never eaten a meal with my children. We'll be lucky if we complete this chart by 2011!Happy New Year!

Oh goodness. You should have seen my chart - it was a piece of computer paper :) You are far better at that stuff than I. Speaking of, maybe someday I can think of putting balloons on the Christmas tree. How fun! And I love Eliza's room. So pink and wonderful!

I got the cardboard letters at Hobby Lobby for a dollar then I just covered them with scrap-booking paper and flowers. It's not Pottery Barn. . . but still cute. . . and pink.
It's fun to see you carrying on some family traditions (I'll say it again....your kids are SO lucky). I love the pink room, the organized toys, and darling pictures of the kids, but the most beautiful picture is of YOU.
Congrats Nate on the new car. I'd say you really got the ultimate mileage out of Emily's old used one!

Karl drives a beater. It is also a white Honda but a 1996. It is kind of funny except when he needs me car. I get nervous when I have to drive it. I hate driving it in the rain because it leaks.
Love the pink room. Eva doesn't like light pink anymore :(. I guess I got almost 7 years of it. I am doing an extreme bedroom makeover for her birthday this month.
Love the IKEA shelves. We use them for our toys, too.

Emily you look great! You don't look like you've kept an ounce of baby fat and kept that pregnant glow. I think I might need to copy that table manners chart. We just watched the Berenstain Bears forget their manners and it's got me thinking we need to change our ways.
Hey, I am in desperate need of some new shelves like that....so that i don't drag Jake all over IKEA (something I am sure he will love) do you remember what section of the store you bought those in ie kids, living room, whatever?
Ha! Nate HATES IKEA for that very reason. I'm in love with these shelves (EXPEDIT). Found in the living room storage area. You can't miss it.
