We Love Becca

And we love visitors. When we lived in Chicago we had visitors all the time. When we lived in Manhattan we had visitors ALL THE TIME. . . when we moved to Texas no one wanted to visit anymore (sniffle, sniffle). So just so Y'ALL know. . .

- We may not pick you up at the airport.
- We may make you find your own way downtown.
- We may take you to a Tex Mex restaurant where the salsa is sure to burn a hole through your tongue.
- We may make you sleep on the floor upstairs with our kids who wake up before dawn.
- We may take you to the Texas Rodeo and Livestock Show and make you hang out at the kiddy rides.
- We may make you sit by our middle son in Primary to help him behave and then make you go to class with our oldest son who complained you didn't sit by him.
- We may make you tote our baby around.
- And we may use you as our personal photographer.

But we Texans love company and we definitely had a great time with Nate's sister, Becca, over the weekend. We miss you!
Here are a few highlights (courtesy mostly of Becca's camera which is better than mine and Becca who is better than me)

There are WAY better ways to ride a horse than waiting in line for this. But for some reason this still makes their day.

Here's a look at how crowded it was. As you can see, pushing a stroller came in very handy.

Nate's Birthday

We celebrated by making mini pizzas. Accommodating all of the food allergies (and pickiness) in our family can be tricky when it comes to meal planning. I like this one because everyone makes their own! I'm glad Nate requested it.

I love Brigham's non-dairy "olive" pizza. Yum!

Happy Birthday, Honey!
(I'm also glad you requested the same Lemon Jello Cake with whipped cream frosting just like every year since we were married.)

Visitors don't like coming to the middle of Iowa either.

Thanks for the pictures of Rodeo. Of all the things we left behind, Rodeo is the one we miss the most. We are flying out to look at a job in San Antonio in 2 weeks. It isn't Houston, but it IS TEXAS!!
