Just Keep Hiking

We took several amazing hikes in Utah.  These two hiked the Oakley trail with me to watch the sunset.  It is a steep trail but the view is rewarding.  You can see the entire valley.
Off we go!  I love the bear warnings.  I told Isaac and Clayton all my bear stories while we hiked.  They hoped more than anything to spot a bear after that.

Hiking over rockslides is fine during the day but can be deadly at night - as we learned hiking back in the dark.

There goes the sun. . . what sight!

Here is a view of the ranch from the Oakley Trail.  This might be the pretties spot of land in the whole world.

First star. . .
A few days later we hiked the Beaver Creek Trail with Jenny and my mom.  The kids spotted several beaver dens and ever a few beavers!

The trail was really swampy which made for some tricky hiking.

The scenery was perfect though. And the weather.
Clayton carried Lydia when she got too tired. Nice brother.

We high-tailed it back to the car though when some campers started shooting across the trail.  After lecturing the campers about gun safety and reporting them at the ranger's station, we headed home just as a storm rolled in.
In Southern Utah we hiked around Cedar Breaks. It was a bit windy, but the view was spectacular!
