RT2011: Back To BYU

Home sweet home. Every Summer we have important reasons to travel to Utah. Number one being to see family. This year we had another reason: Our BYU freshman ward was having a reunion. We still have such close friendships with people from that ward - which is where Nate and I met 16 years ago. And we both agree our freshman year at BYU was the best year of our lives. We had so much fun hanging out on campus and reminiscing with old friends. And our kids loved every second of it. As you can see they are true blue BYU fans. Here are a few pictures of our day on campus.

This grassy slope by the library didn't exist when Nate and I were there (neither did the new library for that matter) but apparently it's a popular place for kids. We didn't see many kids around campus but we met quite a few racing and rolling down this hill.

Here is Eliza trying to sneak into the library through one of the alarmed emergency exits - something I tried many times myself.

Brig posing in front of his namesake.
The Eyring Science Center was definitely a favorite stop.

optical illusions. . .The Student Athletic Building was another favorite place.
Here's a map showing where BYU athletes are currently serving missions.

We ate at the CougarEatAnd pretended to be college students.
We visited our beloved DT which no longer exists. so sad. . .
So many memories. . . so many great times. It was fun to be back on campus and show our kids around. In the evening Nate and I (and Lydia - thanks for watching all our other kids, Jenny and Alli) went to the reunion. Look how many of us made it back our stomping grounds! Thanks for organizing, Stephanie!
Here's a blast from the past - BYU 50th ward Relief Society in front of the Morris Center at DT (which no longer exists).
Halloween 1995.
And here we are at the reunion 15 years later. . .

Good times. . . hopefully we'll be seeing ya'll in another 15 years.
