Eliza cried, screamed at the top of her lungs, kicked, and yelled all the way back from the baseball game last night. Why?
Because I wouldn't let her drive the car home.
I am a mean mean mom.
Our 4-year-old friend brought a game over - Jenga. My kids were thrilled
Isaac: Wow! If you teach me how to play Jenga, I'll teach you how to load and fire a real Civil War musket.
great. . . I'm sure his mom is going to be thrilled about this trade.
Eliza: Mommy, you name is Emowly.
Me: What's daddy's name?
Eliza: Daddy name is. . . is. . .
Me: Daddy's name is Nate.
Eliza: No. . . daddy name is not Nate. Daddy name is Honey.
close enough kiddo.
Lydia was crying. Eliza was scolding:
"Leeya, use your words! I don't understand whining!"
practice what you preach little girl. . .
just got an email from my mom with a picture of her at Mt. Rushmore. It said,
"love to you all from Mt. Rushmore."
to which my dad replied,
"love back to you from Cuzco."
obviously my parents are enjoying their time home from their mission. . .
It rained all afternoon. Baseball practice was cancelled. So was Isaac's backyard (cardboard box) battle plans.
Isaac: I'm just so mad at the rain for ruining this day!Clayton: But rain is good! Rain helps things grow. . . we would die if it didn't ever rain, Isaac. So really, you can't blame it on the rain.
Isaac: Sometimes I don't like talking to happy people, Clayton.
let me introduce you, son, to the very wise advice of someone by the name of milli vanilli. . . ahem.
blame it on the rain. . . yeah. . .yeah
Eliza: Mommy, I want to get in the shubble.
Me: The shuttle?
Eliza: No, the shubble.
Me: The shovel?Eliza: No, mommy the shubble.
Me: The shower?
Eliza: No, mommy. Say shu. bble.
