We celebrated Thanksgiving at home with just us. "Just us" though happens to be a pretty big group - seven people is definitely enough to justify an entire Thanksgiving feast! So we got busy getting ready.
We decorated the table with thanks.
And the set the table for a feast.
Including some handcrafted turkeys for the centerpiece.
We sang hymns of thanks.
And then came all the delicious food. . .
mmmmm. . .
We are all here,
All who hold each other dear.
Each chair is filled, we are all at home!
Tonight let no cold stranger come;
It is not often thus around
Our old familiar hearth we're found.
Bless, then, the meeting and the spot,
For once be every care forgot;
Let gentle peace assert her power,
And kind affection rule the hour
We're all -- all here.
- Charles Sprague
I am so blessed.
